We had the perfect wedding day-nothing was too much trouble. The staff were attentive and friendly and a special thanks to Jean Bermingham, who was truly wonderful from the moment we decided to have our wedding reception in Portmarnock. Eddie was also great and couldn’t do enough for us on the big day.The food was delicious and so many of our guests were pleasantly surprised by the quality of it. The location is ideal, the bedrooms spacious and clean and the atmosphere wonderful!Thanks again for everything. I would highly recommend the hotel to any engaged couples out there!

Our wedding day was held in your hotel on 19.06.10. From the minute we arrived at your hotel it was like a dream. Everything was just perfect, from the staff, flowers, drinks reception, banqueting room, food, cake, bridal suite etc. We were overwhelmed by everything and especially your staff, who were so friendly, helpful and kind.
I would like to thank all your staff for making our day so special. In particular i would like to thank Eddie the banqueting manager who was so courteous and told us 'there was nothing to worry about and he was there to look after us', and of course we had nothing to worry about. Eddie was not only our banqueting manager for the day but he was our friend.
I would also like to thank Claire on reception. She was so friendly and helpful and had a huge smile for us and the wedding party all through the day and evening.
Finally i would like to thank Alison Eivers. Alison is one of the nicest people you could meet and is an asset to your hotel. She was a pleasure to work with and made our day A day to remember. Alison done a fantastic job in organising our big day and had it exactely how we wanted it. Our day would not of went as well as it did unless it was for Alison.
I would like to wish your hotel and staff the best of luck for the future. Thank you for an amazing day and i would not hesitate in recommending your hotel to anyone.

Thank you so much for everything on our big day, I was delighted you were in on the Saturday yourself, it was great you were there after holding me hand for the few months coming up to it. The drinks reception outside was a genius idea and went down a treat with everyone after the ceremony. Everyone said the food was amazing, and just thought the hotel was fantastic!!

The hotel were brilliant nothing was a problem even changing the seating plan just before the meal.
Everything was so easygoing it made it very relaxing and the food was really good and the feedback we got from all our guests in relation to this was the same.
All the staff were extremely helpful and really couldnt have been more helpful and in all cases went beyond the call of duty
The fact it was beside the beach and the golf links and the weather was good was a bonus
The quality and service throughout all the dealings were extremely high and would recommend the hotel to anybody considering having a wedding or any function

"The reason we picked Portmarnock Golf Links Hotel for our wedding was that we wanted to ensure that we had a very high standard of food and service for our friends and family. The only nervous time we had was in securing the date we wanted. After that we relaxed completely. We were delighted with how the day went, I was stunned at the number of people who said that it was the best wedding they had attended, they raved about the food and the beautiful venue. We went for the Gold Package which provided very good value when compared to other hotels, who priced items individually. The weather was good and it was delightful for our guests to walk by the sea after the meal.
Also, as the wedding couple, it was clear that the hotel staff took extra care of us, which added to our very special occasion. We would highly recommend this hotel to engaged couples to have as their venue."

We both wanted to contact you to pass on our genuine and sincere thanks to you for your constant hard-work, advice, good humour and patience with us over the 7 months of our wedding planning.
What can we say; it was better than we dared to hope! The whole venue made all of our guests, most of whom were staying in the hotel for 2 nights, feel like they were on a wonderful mini beach holiday! They all raved about their rooms and I can honestly say there wasn't a single complaint from anyone on any level. The quality of the entire experience, from the day of the wedding fair, from how kind you were to me every time I called from London in a panic, through your relaxed and calm organisation of every detail as the day approached (anything I thought of you'd already covered!) right up to your warm welcome when we arrived for the reception, made this a day without any nasty experiences, unpleasant surprises, disappointments or upset. The foreign guests had a beautiful introduction to Ireland and many of the others maybe had an equally impressive new look at Dublin.
You exceeded our expectations on every level and we were so proud to have all our friends and family treated so well throughout the day. It was my dream to come home to get married where I have so many lovely memories and both Mark and I really will always treasure the stress-free and utterly fun day and night that you and your team facilitated. We'll never forget all that you did for us!
We've had lots of our guests contact us since we got back to London to say just how enjoyable it all was. Many remarked that they were extremely impressed with the Portmarnock, 'the best wedding reception [they had]attended', and intend going back for a break themselves.The food was really fabulous and the team on the day anticipated our every need looking after us with a smile that was typical of your own friendly 'no-problem' attitude. The service was attentive, discreet and flawless. As for the honeymoon suite...we didn't want to leave!
We really cannot recommend the Portmarnock Hotel highly enough- our wedding was literally the best day of our lives, you did us proud! I wonder if you realise just how much your excellence means to a couple?
