The Jameson Bar, in the old Jameson House, with it original oak panelling and high ceilings, is the ideal venue for a leisurely drink.
William Jameson and his family lived in the gracious home, the oldest part of the hotel, which dates back to 1847. In 1907, his friends King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra celebrated the marriage between members of the Haig and Jameson families by unveiling a plaque in the garden. Today, a copy of the plaque welcomes our visitors at reception, wishing them both peace and love.
