 The AIB Ladies Irish Open 2008

Pettersen claims AIB Ladies Irish Open

World number three Suzann Pettersen secured a five-shot victory at the AIB Irish Open on Sunday. 

The Norwegian shot a final round five-under-par 67 to finish on an 11-under-par 205 total after three rounds at Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links in Dublin. An attendance of over 5,000 people enjoyed the radiant sunshine on the famous Portmarnock grounds in which was once home to the Jameson whiskey family. The championship, with a prize fund of €450,00, is the only major women's professional golf tournament in the world played on a natiral 'links' golf course in 2008.
