Where is Portmarnock located?
We are located in Portmarnock, Dublin 13, a twenty minute drive from the city centre, and 13 minute drive from Dublin International Airport. To see us on a map click here.

What time is Check-in?
Our Check-in time is from 4:00pm. Should you arrive early, luggage can be left in our Concierge storage room in our main lobby.

What time is Check-out?
Our Check-out time is 12:00pm. You may purchase a late check-out for 3:00pm at an additional €50.00 charge and is subject to availability during your stay.

Is there a bus nearby?
Yes, there are many bus routes within walking distance of the hotel. The Portmarnock dart station is a twenty minute walk up the road which takes you directly into the city or north or south of Dublin to coastal towns.

Is the payment of bookings secure and how do I know?
We follow the highest standards of security protocol and we have GDPR data protection policies in place that correspond with the most current regulations from May 2018.

Do I need a credit card to make a hotel room reservation?
Yes, the hotel requires a credit card for all online hotel reservations. This guarantees your booking until your arrival date. Your credit card will not be charged until you arrive at the hotel unless we specify prepayment or a deposit prior. Prepayment, deposit and cancellation requirements will be displayed during the online confirmation process.



Do you allow smoking in the hotel?
No, we are 100% non-smoking hotel. We do have designated outdoor smoking areas throughout the hotel to accommodate guests who smoke. A deep cleaning fee will be charged to guests who are found to be in breach of our no smoking policy.

Does your hotel have parking facilities?
Yes, we have a two on-site car parks which are complimentary for all guests who are customers of Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links.

How far is the nearest pub?
The Jameson Bar is conveniently located within the hotel, plenty of other choices in neighbouring villages Malahide & Howth, and a large number of bars, pubs and clubs in the city centre which is only a 25 minute taxi away.

Is there a taxi rank nearby?
No, however Portmarnock Hotel & Golf Links is partnered with MyTaxi which is able to order you the first cab available at any time of day at no additional cost to you.

Do you have room service?
Yes, our room service is available from 7am-8pm. Our room service menus is available at reception.

Do you have accessible rooms and facilities?
Yes, we have 4 lifts, specially adapted rooms and accessible car spaces.

Is there Wi-Fi?
Yes, there is complimentary Wi-Fi in all areas of the hotel and public spaces.

Do you have meeting rooms?
Yes, we have 6 meeting rooms in our hotel's Jameson House, they are perfect for meetings under 20 delegates. For larger meetings or conferences, we have our Function Suite of three additional rooms for up to 300 delegates.

Does the hotel have a Restaurant?
Yes we have four different dining outlets available. Our 1780 Restaurant which serves a buffet breakfast each morning, our Seaview Lounge renowned for its Afternoon Tea by the Sea available from friday to sunday, prebook is essential , and finally our Golfer's Snug and Jameson Bar which both offer more casual dining from 12:00pm - 8:00pm Wednesday to sunday

Are the surrounding areas of the Hotel Safe? 
Yes. We are in a very pleasant, residential area of Dublin, in between two affluent, stunning fishing villages Malahide & Howth.

How do we get from the Airport to the Hotel?
The bus route # 102 services to and from Dublin Airport to the Hotel directly. Alternatively, you may purchase Chauffer Services at the time of booking or departure, either online through our package add-ons or by phone by asking a member of our team.

Is an early Check-in available?
Yes, however early check-in is subject to availability. Please enquire upon arrival.
I made my reservation through a third party website and I need to make a change to my booking?
For any changes, you must go through the original booking agent/website that you went through in order to change your reservation.

Do you charge for a children's cot?
All children under 2 years of age stay free of charge and children's cots/cribs can be provided at request.
If you wish to add a cot to your reservation please let us know prior to your arrival to ensure availability.

Can I add an extra bed to my booking?
We do have a limited amount of rooms that can accommodate an extra bed. Please contact our Reservations Team to check availability. Please note that there is a charge of EUR 30 per night for extra beds.

What are your breakfast hours?
Weekdays: 7.00am until 10.30am. Weekends & Bank Holidays from 7.00am until 11.00am.

Do you offer a corporate rate?

Is it better to book with you direct?

What does your no show/cancellation policy entail?
If you do not show on the day of your booking, you will be charged the full amount for your first night's stay. If you have booked our "advanced purchase rate" you will incur a 100% penalty charge for the entire duration of your stay.

Are pets permitted at the Hotel?
Only certified guide dogs are permitted in our hotel.

Do you offer hairdryers in your guestrooms?
Yes, all of our bedrooms are equipped with one hairdryer for your complimentary use.

Do you provide tea and coffee facilities in your guestrooms?
Yes, all of our bedrooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities.

Do you provide ironing boards and irons in your guestrooms?
Yes, an ironing board and iron are provided in all rooms.
